She toooo Cute in Tutti Fruitt!

Jenna my model is too cute! Yesterday we took a walk down to the marsh and took some wonderful photos of her wearing Tutti Fruitt.  She a Natural all I did was snap the photo's.  Now I wish my grandbaby Juliana was modeling for me I be tickled pink! But she's so far away one day!  one day! I hope! Why she the reason I got back to sewing in the first place!!

EASTER SEWING

 

Easter coming! and I'm busy making dresses.  This one is has 2 completed tight rows of pink batise ruffles.  It took awhile but I love the way it sits. It reminds me of Shirley Temple one of my favorite Actresses since I was a small girl! All this needs is some banana curls and white gloves and a sweet girl! 

Meet Tutti Fruitt's Lil Sis

So I had some extra material left over from Tutti Fruitt and thought just like Barbie lil Sis Skipper I would make Lil Sis.  I had just enough left without a inch to spare!  A few blogs before this one I mention My Esty shop's business not moving well God has Blessed me now in 24 hrs I have 5 custom orders for delivery before Easter.  So I will be a sewing crazy women! and I'm Loving every second!!

Seven things about me:

1.       I’m a wife and mother of 4 grown children.  My twins are severing in the US Army and have done 2 tours of duty in Iraq. I had many years of restless sleep.  I have two of the most beautiful grandchildren and one of the way.  Now if my other two children get into gear I will be a sewing, blogging manic!

2.       I been sewing since I was a little girl and that’s a long time!!

3.       My mother sewed all of my clothes and I sewn all of my daughters clothes… of course that was until she wanted store bought like her friends! I sewed all of my daughters pageant outfits and dresses for years.  My mother made wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses when I grew up.

4.       My mother is my inspiration she always has that winning spirit and does not let anything or anyone get in her way!

5.       I love Charleston South Carolina what a way to relive history and have the relaxation and view of top vacation resort everyday

6.       Sewing is my drug of choice it’s so relaxing, stress free mind free and you get a end product to boot!

7.       I have a sense of humor… I guess growing up a red head and being called names all my life like carrot top, little red big red on and on I can laugh at my self with my white hair now! I always said I wanted to be a blonde just did not say what age or color blonde!

As my children would say Mom your Tutti Fruitti! so rename the outfit! This was a hoot to make other than the blinding colors it turned out better than I imagined!! I never worked with Plisse before never really paid attention but if I had alittle one and did not want wrinkles this would be it!!

Wildflowers are Blooming and I need advice!

Wild flower's are blooming! With Spring in the Air I feel like my brain has come alive with fresh Idea's, But I can't figure out what i'm doing wrong with my shop on Esty. Anyone have any Idea's? SPING FLING

Sping is in the Air! This is was inspired by the flowers that are starting to bloom! How I wish my pictures were better because they don't do this Dress justice. It so pretty and girly.  Now if I could have back that hour that I losted this morning imagine what I could do!

Turning back Time to the 70's with Retro Baby

I'm Turning back time to the 70's with this Retro bubble and reversiable wrap skirt! I LOVE THE 70's!  I made this with Riley Blake's Felicity Polka dot in Red Felicity flowers in green pin dot and gold.I added a round ruffled coller that buttons in the back.  To bring the pattern from the skirt I made a oversize button to match.  Anyone say FLOWER POWER????
